Dr. Dorrough has photographed a hundred things and taken thousands of photos during this time off. He has been studying light, shadows, and the art of photography. I have cut up 20 years worth of old jeans into squares and made six quilts out of them. I have baked hundreds of cookies, dozens of loaves of bread, and more soft pretzels than I really should have.
As enjoyable as the time off has been, we are so excited to welcome our staff and patients back into the office on Monday, May 4th. We have some new protocols in place to keep everyone safe and healthy.
We will be screening patients and employees daily for symptoms of covid-19. Temperatures will be taken, and a questionnaire about symptoms, exposure and travel will need to be completed by each patient prior to treatment. We have removed magazines from the waiting area, installed additional hand-sanitizer stations, and have increased the frequency of sterilizing door handles and other high-touch areas. As we work to maintain social distance in the front office, we ask that you not bring other people with you to your appointment. When you arrive to your appointment, send us a text and we will let you know when the coast is clear for you to come in. We have a waiting area in our lower lobby you are welcome to use as well. We will be wearing masks in the front office and keeping our distance.
As far as the dental operatory area, infection control has been the name of the game for decades. In addition to the usual sanitation and sterilization procedures, you will see the hygienists and assistants now wearing face shields. We use a state-of-the-art hydrim dishwasher to disinfect all instruments, and then the instruments take a trip through the Midmark steam autoclave. All surfaces are wiped down and sanitized after every patient and procedure. We want you to know that we have always been and will continue to be committed to keeping you and your teeth healthy.
We cant wait to see you!
